restore defaults Description For use by or with direction from a service technician. Restores the manufacturer's default configuration to the controllers. This restores all defaults except the following: • Settings specific to vdisks and volumes • IP settings (address, subnet mask, and gateway) • System date and time When the command informs you that the configuration has been restored, you must restart the controllers for the changes to take effect. After restarting the controllers, hosts might not be able to access volumes until you re-map them. CAUTION: This command changes how the system operates and might require some reconfiguration to restore host access to volumes. Syntax restore defaults [noprompt] [prompt yes|no] Parameters noprompt Optional in console mode; required in API mode. Suppresses the confirmation prompt, which requires a yes or no response. Specifying this parameter allows the command to proceed without user interaction. prompt yes|no Optional. Specifies an automatic response to the confirmation prompt: • yes: Allow the command to proceed. • no: Cancel the command. If this parameter is omitted, you must manually reply to the prompt. restore defaults
Description
For use by or with direction from a service technician.
Restores the manufacturer's default configuration to the controllers. This restores all defaults except
the following:
Settings specific to vdisks and volumes
IP settings (address, subnet mask, and gateway)
System date and time
When the command informs you that the configuration has been restored, you must restart the
controllers for the changes to take effect. After restarting the controllers, hosts might not be able to
