set host-name Description Changes the nickname and optionally the profile of a host entry. This command can also be used to remove a host entry. Syntax set host-name id host [profile standard|openvms|hp-ux] [new-nickname] Parameters id host The ID or nickname of the host to rename. profile standard|openvms|hp-ux Optional. • standard: The host allows LUN 0 to be assigned to a mapping. This is the default. • openvms: The host does not allow LUN 0 to be assigned to a mapping. • hp-ux: The host allows LUN 0 to be assigned to a mapping and uses Flat Space Addressing. new-nickname Optional. A new nickname for the host. The name is case sensitive; cannot include a comma, double quote, or backslash; and can have a maximum of 15 bytes. A name that includes a space must be enclosed in double quotes. If this parameter is omitted, the host entry is removed (erased). Example Change a host's nickname to MyHost and its profile to HP-UX: # set host-name id Host1 profile hp-ux MyHost Success: Command completed successfully. - The host was renamed. Change a host's nickname to null, thereby removing the host entry: # set host-name id Host1 Success: Command completed successfully. - The host was erased.
