Display cable Description Display cable eDP bracket (included in Bracket Kit, spare part number 840966-001) Spare part number 840938-001 840966-001 (Bracket Kit) Before removing the display cable, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer. 4. Remove the service door (see Service door on page 30). 5. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 31). 6. Disconnect the battery (see Battery on page 32). Remove the display cable: 1. Remove the two Phillips PM2.0×3.0 screws (1) that secure the display cable to the computer. 2. Lift the eDP bracket from atop the connector (2). 3. Disconnect the cable from the system board (3). 4. Before removing the display cable, follow these steps:
1.
Turn
off
the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is

Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3.
Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4.

Remove the display cable:
1.
