Proper Disposal of the Battery When the battery has reached the end of its useful life, the battery should be disposed of by a qualified recycler or hazardous materials handler. Beeper and LED Sequences and Meaning The scanner contains LEDs on the rear of the unit that indicate linking status, decoding state, and battery condition. The base has LEDs on the top of the unit that indicate its power up, communication, and battery charge condition. The red LED = error; green LED = success of any type. The unit's audible indicators have meaning as well: 1 razz or error tone = error; 2 beeps = menu change; 1 beep = all other successes.
