7 DSC OPERATION 1. After sending the Individual DSC call, the transponder will display "DSC Transmission COMPLETED." ••Push [CLEAR] to return to the screen displayed before you entered the Voice channel selection screen in step 2. ••The transceiver stands by on Channel 70 until an Acknowledgement is received. 3. After the communication is finished, push STBY to return to the normal operating mode. [Y] [Z] [CLEAR] [DSC] TRANSPONDER 2. When the Acknowledgement is received, alarm sounds. zzIf the Acknowledgement 'Able to comply' is received, push ALARM OFF to turn OFF the alarm, and then select the Intership channel specified in step 2. ••A different Intership channel will be selected if the station you called cannot use the channel. ••To reply, push [PTT] and speak at a normal voice level. ••If entered, you can check the MMSI code or the name of the AIS target on the display. zzIf the Acknowledgement 'Unable to comply' is received, push ALARM OFF to turn OFF the alarm, then "INDIVIDUAL CALL FAILED" is displayed. 46

DSC OPERATION
1.

entered the Voice channel selection screen in step 2.

When the Acknowledgement is received, alarm sounds.

If the Acknowledgement ‘Able to comply’ is received,
push
ALARM OFF
to turn OFF the alarm, and then
select the Intership channel specified in step 2.
