TONE SQUELCH AND POCKET BEEP Tone scan By scanning a signal from a transceiver that has the Tone or DTCS Squelch function or the CTCSS/DTCS Pocket Beep function turned ON, you can determine the Tone frequency or DTCS code needed to open the squelch. 1. Set the operating frequency. 2. Repeatedly push [TONE T-SCAN] to select the tone type to be checked. and " ," " ," or " " can be selected as the target of the Tone scan. 3. Hold down [TONE T-SCAN] for 1 second to start the Tone scan. ••The frequency decimal point blinks. LLRotate [DIAL] to change the scanning direction. LLPush [MONI ANM PA] to stop or resume the scan. 4.
