Secure the mobility device by tensioning the belts in accordance with the tie-down system manufacturer's user manual. 8.5.2 How The User is Secured Within the Mobility Device CAUTION! Risk of injury if the user is not properly secured within the mobility device -Even if the mobility device is equipped with a posture belt, this is no substitute for a proper safety belt which complies with ISO 10542 in the transport vehicle. Always use the safety belt installed in the transport vehicle. -Safety belts must be in contact with the user's body. They must not be held at a distance from the user's body using parts of the mobility device such as armrests or wheels. -Safety belts must be pulled as tightly as possible without causing the user discomfort. -Safety belts must not be positioned while twisted. -Ensure that the third seat belt anchorage point is not fixed directly to the vehicle floor, but to one of the vehicle uprights. 60101916-A 61
