Troubleshooting Flash ROM Updates Updating Software C.3 Troubleshooting Flash ROM Updates Many of the problems that occur when updating the Flash ROM can be solved by completing the following steps. Protocol NetWare TFTP MOP Table C-1: Flash ROM Troubleshooting Area to Check Ensure the file is in the login directory. Since the Server cannot actually log into the file server, it has very limited access to the server directories. Check the file and directory permissions. Ensure the loadhost name and address are specified correctly and that their cases match those of the filenames on the host system. Ensure the file and path names are enclosed in quotes to preserve case. Ensure that TFTP is enabled on the host; several major UNIX vendors ship their systems with TFTP disabled by default. Ensure that the Ethernet circuit has the service characteristic enabled. Ensure that the MOM$LOAD search path includes the directory containing the MPS.SYS file.
