4 Make sure you can see the volume control knob through the hole in front of the computer, and then push the cover back until it catches and fits the computer snugly. You should hear the cover click into place. 5 If the volume control knob doesn't line up with the hole, the sound card is probably out of position and needs to be adjusted. You can adjust the position of the sound card so that it sticks out of the computer at a right angle by gently lifting or lowering the front edge, before you replace the top cover. 6 If desired, go to the back of the computer and lock the cover. 68 Installing Options in Your Personal Computer
