Maintaining the Print Cartridge Ordering a print cartridge To order a new print cartridge (P/N 10S0150) in the U.S. or Canada, call 1-800-438-2468 for information about Lexmark Authorized Supplies Dealers in your area, or visit the Lexmark Web site at www.lexmark.com. In other countries, contact the place where you bought your printer. Print cartridge storage To get the most from the print cartridge, follow these guidelines: • Do not remove the print cartridge from its package until you are ready to use it. • Do not refill print cartridges. The printer warranty does not cover damage caused by using a refilled cartridge. • Store print cartridges in the same environment as the printer. • Do not remove a print cartridge from the printer except to replace it, clean it or clear a jam. Replace the cartridge immediately. • To prevent damage to the print cartridge, do not expose it to light for more than a few minutes. Print cartridge life expectancy The life of the print cartridge depends on the amount of the toner that print jobs require. When printing text at 5% coverage, a new print cartridge lasts an average of 2,000 pages. Note: The print cartridge supplied with your printer lasts an average of 1,000 pages. Maintaining the Print Cartridge
To get the most from the print cartridge, follow these
guidelines:
• Do not remove the print cartridge from its package until
you are ready to use it.
• Do not refill print cartridges. The printer warranty does not
cover damage caused by using a refilled cartridge.
• Store print cartridges in the same environment as the
printer.
• Do not remove a print cartridge from the printer except to
replace it, clean it or clear a jam. Replace the cartridge
immediately.
• To prevent damage to the print cartridge, do not expose it
to light for more than a few minutes.
