However, due to differences between the individual PSTNs provided in different countries, the TBR 21 certification does not, in itself, give an unconditional assurance of successful operation on every PSTN network termination point. In the event of problems, you should contact your equipment supplier. The subscriber may request that metering pulses be placed on the line, or can have them removed by calling the German network provider. Normally, metering pulses are not provided unless specifically requested by the subscriber at the time of installation. Using the X820e MFP X7500 Option in Switzerland The X820e MFP/X7500 Option requires a Switzerland billing tone filter (P/N 14B5109) to be installed on all equipment used in Switzerland since metering pulses are present on all analog lines.
