MS-6712 ATX Mainboard Connecting the Speakers When you have set the Multi-Channel Audio Function mode properly in the software utility, connect your speakers to the correct phonejacks in accordance with the setting in software utility. 2-Channel Mode for Stereo-Speaker Output When this mode is selected, it is recommended to attach the speakers to the Line Out connector on the back panel instead of the Line Out connector on the S-Bracket. Refer to the following diagram and caption for the function of each phonejack on the back panel when 2-Channel mode is selected. Select "Default Phonejack" 2 MIC 3 Line In 1 Line Out 4 Optical SPDIF jack 5 Coaxial SPDIF jack Back Panel 2 Deselect "Default Phonejack" 2 MIC 3 Line In 1 Line Out 4 Optical SPDIF jack 5 Coaxial SPDIF jack S-Bracket 3 4 1 5 MSI Reminds You... When any Multi-Channel Audio Mode is selected, you may also connect your speakers to the Optical or Coaxial SPDIF phonejack on the S-Bracket to exprience digital surround sound effect. A-6
