Contacts 2 Enter the country code, city code or area code, and phone number. For information about making international calls, see "Making International Calls" on page 48. Tip: To find Contacts entries faster, use the keypad to enter the first letter of the name. 3 To place the call now, go to step 4. -or- Scroll left or right to display the Contacts type for the number you want to call. 4 To make a phone call, press s. -orTo make a Direct Connect call, press the PTT button. If you are making a Direct Connect call, your phone places the call to the Direct Connect number stored in the Contacts entry, even if the Direct Connect icon is not displayed. If you are making a phone call: • Your phone places the call to the phone number assigned to the Contacts type displayed. 42 • If the Contacts type displayed is not a phone number, your phone places the call to the phone number stored in the Contacts entry. • If the Contacts type displayed is not a phone number and you have more than one phone number stored in the Contacts entry, your phone prompts you to select the phone number you want to place the call to. If you try to make a type of call that does not match the Contacts type of the number you chose, no call is placed.
