To set your phone to call a Private ID you choose: 1 From the main menu, select Settings > 2-Way Radio > One Touch PTT > Assigned Number. 2 To enter the Private ID you want your phone to call every time you press the PTT button: Enter the number using your keypad. -or- Press A under Search. Group Calls A group call is similar to a Private call, but is made to all members of a Talkgroup at once. A Talkgroup is a predetermined group of your service provider's customers. Before you can make or receive group calls, a Talkgroup must be established. After the Talkgroup is established, you must join the Talkgroup. Joining a Talkgroup Your sales representative or your service provider establishes Talkgroups for you and assigns each Talkgroup a Talkgroup number. You can choose a name for each of your Talkgroups when you create entries for them in Contacts. To receive group calls made to a Talkgroup, you must join the Talkgroup. You can belong to only one Talkgroup at a time. When you join a new Talkgroup, you no longer belong to your previous Talkgroup. To join a Talkgroup: 1 Press #. Features. If your have Advanced
Features, see “Group Calls, Talkgroups,
and Hubs” on page 67 for a a description
of how group calls work on your phone.
A group call is similar to a Private call, but is made
to all members of a Talkgroup at once. A Talkgroup
is a predetermined group of your service provider’s
customers.
Before you can make or receive group calls, a
Talkgroup must be established. After the Talkgroup
is established, you must join the Talkgroup.
Joining a Talkgroup
Your sales representative or your service provider
establishes Talkgroups for you and assigns each
Talkgroup a Talkgroup number. You can choose a
