The Port Configuration screen displays: Figure 4-1 The Port Configuration screen contains the following fields: • Port - Displays the port number. • Port Description - Enter a user-defined port description. • Status - Select the port's operational status. The possible field values are: - Up - The port is operational. - Down - The port is not operational. • Reactivate Suspended - Select the reactivation status for a port disabled through the locked port security option. The possible field values are: - Enable - Enable reactivation. - Disable - Disable reactivation. • Port Speed - Select the data transmission rate for the port. The port type determines which speed setting options are available. Port speeds can only be configured when auto negotiation is disabled. The possible field values are: - 10M - The port is currently operating at 10 Mbps. - 100M - The port is currently operating at 100 Mbps. - 1000M - The port is currently operating at 1000 Mbps. To configure port parameters:

Switching > Ports > Port Configuration
. The Port Configuration screen displays:

Port
– Displays the port number.
Port Description
– Enter a user-defined port description.
Status
– Select the port’s operational status. The possible field values are:
Up – The port is operational.
Down – The port is not operational.
Reactivate Suspended
– Select the reactivation status for a port disabled through the
locked port security option. The possible field values are:
Enable – Enable reactivation.
Disable – Disable reactivation.
Port Speed
– Select the data transmission rate for the port. The port type determines
which speed setting options are available. Port speeds can only be configured when auto
negotiation is disabled. The possible field values are:
10M – The port is currently operating at 10 Mbps.
100M – The port is currently operating at 100 Mbps.
1000M – The port is currently operating at 1000 Mbps.
