Troubleshooting Shooting Problem No picture taken when shutter-release button is pressed. Camera cannot focus. Pictures are blurred. Streaks of light or partial discoloration are visible in the monitor. Bright specks appear in pictures taken with flash. Flash does not fire. Cause/Solution A • When camera is in playback mode, press the 6, 10 A button, shutter-release button, or b (e movie-record) button. • When menus are displayed, press the d 12 button. • Battery is exhausted. 22 • When flash lamp blinks, flash is charging. 54 • The subject is too close to the camera.
