2.2 Installation of the Hybrid IP-PBX 2.2.7 Installation of 4-shelf System (Side-by-side Type) When vertical space is limited, it is possible to install shelves side-by-side. Installing the system using base stands (supplied with an optional Mounting Kit) makes it easy to reinstall shelves in a different place. Do not install any optional service cards or a PSU in the shelves before installation. Make sure to install the shelves where the Bus Cable (supplied with a BUS-M card or BUS-ME card) can reach the shelves. Do not block the openings of the shelf. Allow space of at least 10 cm (4 in) at the sides of the shelf, and 20 cm (8 in) above the top-mounted shelf. Make sure that the surface behind the shelf is flat and free of obstacles, so that the openings on the back of the shelf will not be blocked. Installation of 4-shelf System (Side-by-side Type)
When vertical space is limited, it is possible to install shelves side-by-side. Installing the system using base
stands (supplied with an optional Mounting Kit) makes it easy to reinstall shelves in a different place.
Construction of 4-shelf System (Side-by-side Type)
Notes
Make sure to remove the front cover from each shelf before installing the shelves (refer to "2.2.3
Opening/Closing the Front Cover").
Do not install any optional service cards or a PSU in the shelves before installation.
Make sure to install the shelves where the Bus Cable (supplied with a BUS-M card or BUS-ME
card) can reach the shelves.
Do not block the openings of the shelf. Allow space of at least 10 cm (4 in) at the sides of the shelf,
and 20 cm (8 in) above the top-mounted shelf.
Make sure that the surface behind the shelf is flat and free of obstacles, so that the openings on
the back of the shelf will not be blocked.
Make sure that the surface behind the shelf is not made of wood.
Be careful not to drop the shelf.
