Appendix Additional Information ! The sound quality of WMA files generally becomes better with an increased bit rate. This unit can play recordings with bit rates from 48 kbps to 192 kbps, but in order to be able to enjoy sound of a certain quality, we recommend using discs recorded with a higher bit rate. ! This unit does not play back WMA files recorded as VBR (variable bit rate). About folders and compressed audio files ! An outline of a CD-ROM with compressed audio is shown below. Subfolders are shown as folders in the folder currently selected. 2 Second level 3 Third level Notes ! This unit assigns folder numbers. The user cannot assign folder numbers. ! It is not possible to check folders that do not include compressed audio files. (These folders will be skipped without displaying the folder number.) ! Compressed audio files in up to 8 tiers of folders can be played back. However, there is a delay in the start of playback on discs with numerous tiers. For this reason we recommend creating discs with no more than 2 tiers. ! It is possible to play back up to 253 items from folders on one disc. 1 23 1 First level 120 En Using the display correctly CAUTION !
