Sending Originals Original Orientation and Scan Area Setting If originals are set in an upright ( ) position, you must change the original orientation settings when performing duplex scans. Reference For details about how to set the orientation of originals, see P.36 "Sending Scans". 3 Scanning One-sided Originals The setting orientation differs depending on whether the width of original is within or larger than 297 mm (11.7"). Original width 297 mm (11.7") or less Wider than 297 mm (11.7") Setting originals on the platen glass ⇒ P.32 "Setting the Original on the Platen Glass" Place the original so that the top edge touches the top-left of the platen glass.
