Appendix Precautions in Using PostScript 3 • When "VM error" occurs, the error can be avoided by adding more memory. • Lasertalk Version1.3 cannot be used. • Type1 font conforms to Adobe Type1 font format (1.1). However, characters that are designed to intersect (self interrupt) may not be correctly printed. • When characters that do not have hint information are downloaded into ap- plications, the character may be unclear when printed, depending on whether they are enlarged or compressed. • Depending on the application, the output may not be as previewed when using the PostScript driver. • When specifying Duplex printing in print data that ends in odd number pages, a blank page may be added automatically depending on the PostScript driver and the application. The additional page will be counted as 1 page monochrome. • Because the printer is set to use color separation mode, the color print density of this printer may differ from standard monochrome printers. 57
