Subscriber Identity Module card - a card that must be inserted in any GSM-based mobile phone. It contains subscriber details, security information and memory for a personal directory of numbers. The card can be a small plug-in type or credit card sized but both types have the same functionality. SMS. See "Short Message Service ". Subscription is the contract that you have with the service/network provider. To use your phone, you need to have a subscription to a network. You get a SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) card with your subscription. The services included in your subscription depend on your choice of operator and/or subscription. So some of the services and functions described in this manual may not be accessible to you.
