Selecting the Decode Priority This function lets you select the decode priority when digital signals are input from the DIGITAL IN (OPTICAL IN/COAXIAL IN) jack, or digital signals are processed in DVD mode. Sound Adjustments ENTER X/x AMP MENU 1 Press AMP MENU. Set the function of the remote to DVD, and then press AMP MENU. 2 Press X/x repeatedly until "DEC. PRI." appears in the front panel display, then press ENTER. 3 Press X/x to select the decode priority you want, then press ENTER or AMP MENU. The default setting is "PCM." When selecting "PCM" PCM signals are given priority (to prevent the interruption when playback starts). Even when other signals are input, the sound will be output. When selecting "AUTO" The most suitable decode method is automatically selected from DTS, Dolby Digital, or PCM. However, when PCM signal playback starts, sound will not be output initially.
