Changing the Speaker Impedance Value You can change the impedance value in accordance with your speaker's impedance. The default settings are underlined. ENTER X/x AMP MENU Speaker impedance To enjoy the best possible multi channel surround, connect speakers with a nominal impedance of 8 ohms or higher to the FRONT, CENTER, SURROUND and SURROUND BACK terminals, and set the value to "SP 8Ω." Refer to the operating instructions supplied with your speakers if you are not sure of their impedance. (This information is often on the back of the speaker.) Alternatively, you may connect speakers of nominal impedance between 4 and 8 ohms to any or all of the speaker terminals. In this case, be sure to set the value to "SP 4Ω/6Ω" even if you connect just one speaker of nominal impedance between 4 and 8 ohms. 1 Press AMP MENU. Set the function of the remote to DVD, and then press AMP MENU. 2 Press X/x repeatedly until "SP. IMP. (Ω)" appears in the front panel display, then press ENTER. 3 Press X/x to select "SP 4Ω/6Ω" or "SP 8Ω" in accordance with impedance, then press ENTER or AMP MENU.
