Searching for a Scene Searching for a Particular Point on a Disc (Search, Scan, Slow-motion Play, Freeze Frame) You can quickly locate a particular point on a disc by monitoring the picture or playing back slowly. / H JOG Click shuttle JOG Click shuttle Note Depending on the DVD/VIDEO CD, you may not be able to do some of the operations described. Locating a point quickly (Search) During playback, keep pressing to locate a point in the playback direction or keep pressing to locate a point in the opposite direction. When you find the point you want, release the button to return to normal playback speed. y y y Using the Click shuttle (Shuttle mode) Turn the click shuttle. The playback speed changes depending on the turning direction and degree of rotation as follows: During playback FF2M Fast forward (faster than FF1M) Y FF1M Fast forward Y × 2B (DVD VIDEO/SACD/CD only) Y PLAYN (normal speed) Y × 2b (DVD VIDEO only) Y FR1m Fast rewind Y FR2m Fast rewind (faster than FR1m) If you turn the click shuttle quickly, the playback speed goes to "FF2M" or "FR2m" at once. You can quickly locate a particular point on a
disc by monitoring the picture or playing
back slowly.
Note
Depending on the DVD/VIDEO CD, you may not be
able to do some of the operations described.
During playback, keep pressing
to locate
a point in the playback direction or keep
pressing
to locate a point in the opposite
direction. When you find the point you want,
release the button to return to normal
playback speed.
Turn the click shuttle. The playback speed
changes depending on the turning direction
