AVLS On The maximum volume is limited to protect your hearing. Beep On The beep sounds when you operate the player. Beep Off The beep is turned off. Headphone Select this when you connect the supplied headphones. Line Out 10 sec 30 sec Select this when you connect other devices such as speakers with an audio cord ( page 58). The backlight lights up for the selected time when you press a button or while scrolling. Always Off The backlight is turned off to save power. Center The display is moderately bright. If the body color of the player is black, the default setting is second from the left. - to + Set toward - to make the display brighter and toward + to make it darker. The level is set to center when you press while pressing SEARCH/ MENU on any display. Negative Characters and icons appear in white and the background in black. Positive Characters and icons appear in black and the background in white. 1) AVLS is an abbreviation of the Automatic Volume Limiter System. 2) When you press VOL+/VOL- when the backlight is off, the backlight turns on. 3) The settings returns to the Factory settings when you press while pressing SEARCH/ MENU.
