Start over the procedure. • If a call comes in while recording a greeting, recording is cancelled. Start over the procedure. • If you hear five short error beeps while recording, the recording area may be full. In this case, erase unnecessary messages (see page 71). Tips • When you select "(GO BACK)", you can return to the previous set display by pressing Jog Dial. • If one minute have passed in step 4, recording stops automatically. • To record the greeting from a touch-tone phone, see page 75. Prerecorded greeting Normal mode: "Hello, I'm unable to answer your call right now. Please leave your name, number and message after the tone." Announcement only mode: "Hello, I'm unable to answer your call right now. Please call again. Thank you." Tips • If you wish to record your own "announcement only" greeting, follow the above sequence after setting "ANSWERING MODE" to "ANNOUNCE ONLY" (page 64). Otherwise, the "normal" greeting will be recorded. • You have to change the message each time you change the mode. To check the greeting Perform steps 1 and 2 on page 60, then press Jog Dial. To change the greeting Record a new greeting. The new greeting replaces the old one. To erase the greeting Perform steps 1 and 2 on page 60, and turn Jog Dial to choose "ERASE GREETING" then press Jog Dial. To go back to the factory preset greeting Erase your own greeting by doing step above. This will bring back the original greeting. Prerecorded greeting
Normal mode:
“Hello, I’m unable to answer your call right now.
Please leave your name, number and message after
the tone.”
Announcement only mode:
“Hello, I’m unable to answer your call right now.
Please call again. Thank you.”
Tips
•
If you wish to record your own “announcement only” greeting, follow the
above sequence after setting “ANSWERING
MODE” to “ANNOUNCE
ONLY” (page 64). Otherwise, the “normal” greeting will be recorded.

You have to change the message each time you change the mode.

Record a new greeting. The new greeting replaces the old one.
