Using the Sleep Timer You can set the receiver to turn off automatically at a specified time by using the remote. 1 2 Recording with other components Recording on an audio tape or MiniDisc You can record on a MiniDisc or cassette tape using the receiver. See the operating instructions supplied with your cassette deck or MD deck. 1 Press the < button repeatedly to display the RECEIVER menu. 2 Move the easy scroll key to select SLEEP, then press the key repeatedly. Each time you press the easy scroll key, the display changes cyclically as follows: When Sleep Timer is being used, "SLEEP" lights up on the display. Tip To check the remaining time before the receiver turns off, select SLEEP from the RECEIVER menu. The remaining time appears on the display. 1 1 Press INPUT SELECTOR, then select the playback component by moving and pressing the easy scroll key. You can also use INPUT SELECTOR on the receiver. 2 Prepare the playback component for playing. For example, insert a CD into the CD player. 3 Prepare the recording component. Insert a blank tape or MD into the recording deck and adjust the recording level. 4 Start recording on the recording deck, then start playback on the playback component. 74GB

Using the Sleep Timer
You can set the receiver to turn off

Press the < button repeatedly to
display the RECEIVER menu.

Move the easy scroll key to
select SLEEP, then press the
key repeatedly.
Each time you press the easy scroll key, the
display changes cyclically as follows:
When Sleep Timer is being used, “SLEEP”

Tip
To check the remaining time before the receiver
turns off, select SLEEP from the RECEIVER menu.

Recording with other
components

component for playing.
