Enjoying Surround Sound x VIR.SPEAKERS (Virtual speakers) This parameter is provided especially for Cinema Studio EX modes (page 92). • ON Virtual speakers are created. • OFF Virtual speakers are not created. x A.F.D. 2CH SW (Creating, low frequency signals) This parameter is only available when A.F.D. mode is set to "AUTO." • CREATE Lets you create low frequency signals for output to the sub woofer when "A.F.D. AUTO" is selected. • OFF Low frequency signals are not created. Adjusting the level and balance of each speaker These settings are applied to all sound fields. 2,3, 4 2 1 Start playing a source encoded with multi channel surround effects (DVD, etc.). 2 Press MAIN MENU repeatedly to select "LEVEL," then press the control key. You can also use MAIN MENU on the receiver to select "LEVEL." 3 Move the control key V/v to select the parameter you want. You can also use MENU on the receiver. For details, see "LEVEL menu parameters." 4 While monitoring the sound, adjust the selected parameter by moving control key B/b. You can also use +/- to adjust the selected parameter. 5 Repeat steps 3 and 4 to adjust the other parameters. LEVEL menu parameters x TEST TONE (Test Tone) Initial setting: OFF Lets you output the test tone sequentially from each speaker. When set to "AUTO," the test tone is output from each speaker automatically. When set to "FIX," you can select which speaker will output the test tone. x FRONT L_ _R (Front speaker balance) Initial setting: center (0) Lets you adjust the balance between front left and right speakers.
