Quick Start Guide Step 2: Copy audio files from a computer Step 3: Connect an instrument and headphones ªª Prepare the audio files Create audio files using the functions of the computer operating system or other computer software applications. Be sure to use file formats that this unit can play back. These formats include MP3 (32-320 kbps, 44.1 kHz) and WAV (44.1 kHz, 16/24-bit). ªª Connect the computer Use the included USB cable to connect the unit to the computer. ªª Transfer files from the computer Copy audio files to the MUSIC folder on the GB-10 drive that appears on the computer. ªª Disconnect from the computer After using the correct procedures to dismount the GB-10 drive from your computer, disconnect the USB cable. The unit should automatically turn off. For details, see Chapter 11 "Transferring songs to and from a computer" on page 72. ªª Connect a guitar or bass Connect a guitar or bass to the unit's GUITAR IN jack using a shielded cable. For details, see "Connecting a guitar or a bass" on page 44. CAUTION In order to record sound input through the GUITAR IN jack and hear the signal through headphones, the G.IN icon must appear highlighted (light letters on a dark background). If it does not appear, press the ¶/ to make it appear. ªª Connect headphones or speakers Connect headphones or a monitoring system (such as powered speakers or an amplifier and speakers) to this unit's /LINE OUT jack.
