2-Names and Functions of Parts When one of the setting screens is open, this moves the cursor to the left on the screen. On the BROWSEscreen, press this button to return to the higher folder level. ¯ button (NEXT) During playback or when stopped, press this button to skip to the beginning of the next file. When one of the setting screens is open, this moves the cursor to the right on the screen. On the BROWSEscreen, press this to enter the lower folder level. Press during recording to start recording to a new file without interruption (track incrementation). 4 Ô button (REW) Press this button to search backward. Press briefly to search backward to the beginning of the current file. Each time you press this button, the search speed increases. Press and hold to search backward continuously for as long as the button is pressed. When the beginning of the current file is reached, searching stops there. 5 button (F FWD) Press this button to search forward. Press briefly to search forward to the end of the current file. Each time you press this button, the search speed increases. Press and hold to search forward continuously for as long as the button is pressed. When the end of the current file is reached, searching stops there. 6 [ª] button (POWER, STOP) Use to stop recording and playback, as well as to end recording standby. Press during playback to pause playback. Press again when paused to stop playback. Use also to respond "NO" to a confirmation pop-up message that appears during the operation of a setting screen.
