20-Troubleshooting If you are having trouble with the operation of this unit, please try the following before seeking repair. If these measures do not solve the problem, please contact the store where you bought the unit or a TASCAM Service Center. ªª Power will not turn ON. •• Confirm that the batteries are not dead. •• Confirm that the batteries are installed with the correct +/- orientation. •• Confirm that the power plug of the AC adaptor (TASCAM PS-P520: sold separately) is securely inserted. ªª The foot switch does not function. •• Confirm that a battery is installed in the foot switch and that it is not dead. ªª The unit does not function. •• Is the unit connected to a computer by USB (USB connected) ?. ªª The SD card is not recognized. •• Confirm that the SD card is inserted completely. ªª Playback does not work. •• If you are trying to play a WAV file, confirm that the sampling frequency is supported by this unit. •• If you are trying to play an MP3 file, confirm that the bit rate is supported by this unit. ªª No sound is output. •• Are headphones connected? •• Check the connections with the monitoring system. •• Is the volume of the monitoring system minimized? •• Is the OUTPUT setting of the unit minimized? ªª Recording does not work. •• If you are using an external device, check the connection again. •• Confirm that the recording level is not too low. •• Has guitar input been disabled (G.IN icon light on dark)? not shown •• Confirm that the SD card is not full. •• Confirm that the number of files has not reached the maximum that the unit can handle.
