Your data stays in the device's temporary memory until you back it up to external media. If the network you are using goes down and you must restart your device to reconnect, or your battery runs out of charge while you are using your device, you will lose all data since you last backed it up. See "Backing up your data" on page 46 for further information. ❖ Scan all new files for viruses. This precaution is especially important for files you receive via external media, email, or download from the Internet. ❖ Do not turn off the device if a drive indicator light indicates a drive is active.
