This information applies to all the features and icons described in this guide. Below are examples of some of the many possible icons used on your computer: Sample system icons Turning on the power 1 Make sure any external devices (such as the AC adapter, if you plan to use AC power rather than battery power) are properly connected and ready. 2 Check to ensure that any disk drives are empty. 3 Press and hold the power button until the on/off light on the system indicator panel glows blue-about one second. HINT: After turning on the computer for the first time, do not turn off the power again until the operating system has completely loaded. The AC power light glows blue when the computer is connected to an external power source.
