Finding Your Way Around Left side 31 The eject button opens the drive tray when the computer is turned on. The volume control dial lets you adjust the loudness of the system speakers. The 3.5 mm headphone/S/PDIF Digital Optical out lets you connect stereo headphones or other audio-output devices, such as external speakers. Connecting other devices automatically disables the internal speakers. NOTE: The headphone/S/PDIF (Sony/Phillips Digital Interface) Digital Optical out is compatible with Dolby* 3D digital sound. The 3.5 mm microphone in jack lets you connect an external monaural microphone.
