Recording Note: · Audio is automatically recorded in XHQ mode. · The unit can record up to 199 files in the L (Line) folder. If you attempt to record the 200th file, the recorder will indicate "FILE FULL". · When you record to the L folder, MIC ALC is automatically set to OFF. Auto Divide function When the Auto Divide function is turned on, the unit automatically detects the silence between songs and records each song as an individual file. This function is useful when you are recording songs from a CD player. 1. While the recorder is stopped, press the MENU/STOP button for at least 2 seconds. 2. Press the Y or T button to select "VOICE", then press the W button. 3. Press the Y or T button to select "AUTO DIVIDE", then press the W button. 4. Press the Y or T button to select "ON", then press the W button. 5. Press the MENU/STOP button twice to quit the menu setting mode. Note: · The function does not work if the recorder does not recognize a silent pause of at least two seconds between songs, especially when it is recording audio from a cassette tape, radio, and so on. · If the unit detects a silent pause for 15 seconds or more, recording stops automatically.
