Connecting to a Computer Disconnecting the unit from your computer Before disconnecting the unit from your computer, make sure that no data is being transferred. Follow the steps below to disconnect. 1. Right-click the device icon on the taskbar at the bottom right of the Win- dows screen to pop up the menu option [Safely Remove Hardware]. If the icon is not displayed, refer to Windows Help. 2. Click [Safely Remove Hardware]. 3. Select [USB Mass Storage Device] and click [Stop]. 4. Make sure that [Yamaha Pocketrak USB Device] is in the list, then select [USB Mass Storage Device] and click [OK]. 5. Disconnect the unit from your computer. Recharging the eneloop • Be sure to insert and recharge the eneloop. Do not attempt to recharge alkaline batteries. Otherwise, the battery liquid may leak and damage the unit. • Recharge the eneloop at an ambient temperature between 5 and 35 degrees Celsius (41 and 95 degrees Fahrenheit). Before recharging the eneloop • Make sure that the BATTERY SETTING is set to "eneloop." (page 33) • Be sure to close the battery cover before you start recharging. Recharging the eneloop 1. Connect the unit to your computer. (page 35) 2. While the LCD screen on the recorder indicates that the unit is connected to the computer, press the Y button for at least two seconds. The REC/PEAK LED lights up and recharging starts. Disconnecting the unit from your computer
Before disconnecting the unit from your computer, make sure that no data is being trans-
ferred.
Follow the steps below to disconnect.
1.
Right-click the device icon on the taskbar at the bottom right of the Win-
dows screen to pop up the menu option [Safely Remove Hardware].
If the icon is not displayed, refer to Windows Help.
2.
Click [Safely Remove Hardware].
3.
Select [USB Mass Storage Device] and click [Stop].
4.
Make sure that [Yamaha Pocketrak USB Device] is in the list, then select [USB
Mass Storage Device] and click [OK].
5.
Disconnect the unit from your computer.
Recharging the eneloop
Be sure to insert and recharge the eneloop. Do not attempt to recharge alkaline bat-
