Using the Common Functions This section explains about the common operations for each basic function, and the functions that affect the entire instrument. Using the Metronome The metronome can be used for effective practice. 1 Press the [METRONOME] button to start the metronome. Using the Tap Tempo Function During playback of a Style or Song, you can change the tempo by tapping the [TEMPO/TAP] button twice at the desired tempo. When Style and Song are stopped, tapping the [TEMPO/TAP] button (four times for a 4/4 time signature) starts playback of the rhythm part of the Style at the tempo you tapped. 2 Press the [METRONOME] button again to stop the metronome. Adjusting the Metronome Volume The volume can be adjusted in the Function Setting (page 65, Function 061). Setting the Time Signature The Time Signature can be set in the Function Setting (page 65, Functions 059, 060). For details, refer to the Reference Manual on the website (page 11). Changing the Tempo The tempo of the Metronome, Style (page 31), Song (page 34) and Groove (page 40) can be changed. 1 Press the [TEMPO/TAP] button to call up "Tempo" in the display. The current tempo value appears. 090Tempo 090 Current tempo 2 Rotate the dial to change the tempo. 3 Press the [VOICE] button to exit from the Tempo display. You can also exit from the Tempo display by pressing one of the buttons below. • GROOVE CREATOR] button • SONG/AUDIO] button • [STYLE] button Boosting the Entire Volume of the Instrument (Mega Boost) The Mega Boost function increases the volume of the instrument by up to about 6dB, allowing you to enjoy a more powerful performance without having to connect external speakers. The level changes in the following order each time you press the [MEGA BOOST] button. Appears when the Mega Boost function is on. : Increase in volume (by approx. +3dB) : Maximum increase in volume (by approx. +6dB) (No indication): Mega Boost off NOTICE • If you use the microphone when the Mega Boost function is on, acoustic feedback may occur. If this happens, try resolving the problem by: - Turning down the microphone volume. - Turning down the Mega Boost level. - Turning off the Mega Boost function. • When the Mega Boost function is turned on, the sound may be distorted depending on the selected Voice or Style. NOTE • When a set of headphones is connected, the Mega Boost function is turned off automatically. • The Mega Boost function is effective not only for the built-in speaker but also for the output from the OUTPUT [L/L+R], [R] jacks. Using the Common Functions
This section explains about the common operations for each basic function, and the func-
tions that affect the entire instrument.
The metronome can be used for effective practice.

Press the [METRONOME] button to start
the metronome.

Press the [METRONOME] button again to
stop the metronome.
Adjusting the Metronome Volume
The volume can be adjusted in the Function Setting
(page 65, Function 061).
Setting the Time Signature
The Time Signature can be set in the Function Set-
ting (page 65, Functions 059, 060). For details, refer
to the Reference Manual on the website (page 11).
The tempo of the Metronome, Style (page 31), Song
(page 34) and Groove (page 40) can be changed.

Press the [TEMPO/TAP] button to call up
“Tempo” in the display.
The current tempo value appears.

Rotate the dial to change the tempo.

Press the [VOICE] button to exit from the
Tempo display.
You can also exit from the Tempo display by
pressing one of the buttons below.

Using the Tap Tempo Function
During playback of a Style or Song, you can change
