Figure 25 Adapter Screen The following table describes the labels in this screen. Table 14 Adapter LABEL Adapter Setting Transfer Rate Preamble Type Power Saving Mode SuperG DESCRIPTION Select a transfer speed from the drop-down list box. Choose from Fully Auto (default), 1 Mbps, 2 Mbps, 5.5 Mbps, 6 Mbps, 9 Mbps, 12 Mbps, 18 Mbps, 24 Mbps, 36 Mbps, 48 Mbps and 54 Mbps. Select a preamble type. Choices are Long Only and Long and Short.The default setting is Long and Short. Refer to Section 2.4 on page 29 for more information. Select Maximum or Normal to save power (especially for notebook computers). This forces the ZyXEL G-270S to go to sleep mode when it is not transmitting data. When you select Off, the ZyXEL G-270S will never go to sleep mode. Select the check box to have the ZyXEL G-270S transmit at up to 108 Mbps when connected to an AP or wireless router with the Super G feature enabled. Chapter 3 ZyXEL Utility Configuration 49
