Chapter 36 DHCP 36.4 Configuring DHCP VLAN Settings Use this screen to configure your DHCP settings based on the VLAN domain of the DHCP clients. Click IP Application > DHCP in the navigation panel, then click the VLAN link In the DHCP Status screen that displays. Note: You must set up a management IP address for each VLAN that you want to configure DHCP settings for on the Switch. See Section 8.6 on page 93 for information on how to set up management IP addresses for VLANs. Figure 163 IP Application > DHCP > VLAN The following table describes the labels in this screen. Table 115 IP Application > DHCP > VLAN LABEL VID Remote DHCP Server 1 .. 3 Relay Agent Information Information DESCRIPTION Enter the ID number of the VLAN to which these DHCP settings apply. Enter the IP address of a DHCP server in dotted decimal notation. Select the Option 82 check box to have the Switch add information (slot number, port number and VLAN ID) to client DHCP requests that it relays to a DHCP server. This read-only field displays the system name you configure in the General Setup screen. Add Cancel Clear VID Type DHCP Status Select the check box for the Switch to add the system name to the client DHCP requests that it relays to a DHCP server. Click Add to save your changes to the Switch's run-time memory. The Switch loses these changes if it is turned off or loses power, so use the Save link on the top navigation panel to save your changes to the non-volatile memory when you are done configuring. Click Cancel to begin configuring this screen afresh. Click this to clear the fields above. This field displays the ID number of the VLAN group to which this DHCP settings apply.
