Weight of the Trailer Tongue The tongue load (A) of any trailer an important. is weight to measure because affects the total or gross it weight of,your vehicle. The Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) includes the curb weight the vehicle, any .of cargo you may carry in and the people who will be it, riding in the vehicle. And if you will tow a trailer, you must add the tongue load theGVW because your to vehicle will be carryingthat weight, too.
