How the Air Bag System Works A CAUTION: Don't put anythingon, or attach anything the to, steering wheel. Also, don't put anything (such as pets or objects) between the driver and the steering wheel. If something is between an occupant and an air it could affect the bag, performance of the air bag or worse, it could cause injury. -- Where is the air bag? The driver's air bag is in the middle of the steering wheel. 1-31
