EN | 130 Installation and Operating Manual | VIP X1 Command inputs After the connection has been established, you must log on to the VIP X1 to access the main menu. Other submenus and functions can be accessed using the on-screen commands. - If necessary, turn off the local echo so that entered values are not repeated on the display. - Enter one command at a time. - When you have entered a value, such as an IP address, check your input again before pressing the [ENTER] key to transfer the values to the VIP X1. Assigning an IP Address Before you can operate a VIP X1 in your network you must first assign it an IP address that is valid for your network. The following default address is preset at the factory: 192.168.0.1 - Start a terminal program such as HyperTerminal. - Enter the user name service.
