VIP X1 | Installation and Operating Manual EN | 53 iSCSI LUN map The LUN map displays the logical drives configured for the iSCSI storage device. The current user is displayed for each drive. - Double-click a free drive (LUN). The associated information is called up and automatically displayed in the fields below the map. - If the logical drive is password protected, you must first enter the password in the Target password field and click the Set button. Note In cases where the information cannot be read due to the network topology, you must enter the data manually, so that the VIP X1 can access the drive. In this case you should ensure that the entries correspond exactly with the configuration of the iSCSI device. - After entering all the settings in the relevant fields, click Set. The VIP X1 attempts to create a connection to the required drive using this data. As soon as a connection has been established, the selected drive is used for recordings. Target IP address: Enter the IP address of the required iSCSI server here. Target node: Enter the number of the iSCSI server target node. Target LUN: Enter the LUN of the required drive. Target password: If the drive is password protected, enter the password. Note You may not enter a new password. This is only possible by configuring the iSCSI storage device. Configuration using a Web browser
iSCSI LUN map
The LUN map displays the logical drives configured for the iSCSI storage
device. The current user is displayed for each drive.
Double-click a free drive (LUN). The associated information is called up and
automatically displayed in the fields below the map.
If the logical drive is password protected, you must first enter the password in
the
Target password
field and click the
Set
button.
Note
In cases where the information cannot be read due to the network topolo-
gy, you must enter the data manually, so that the VIP X1 can access the
drive. In this case you should ensure that the entries correspond exactly
with the configuration of the iSCSI device.
After entering all the settings in the relevant fields, click
Set
. The VIP X1
attempts to create a connection to the required drive using this data.
As soon as a connection has been established, the selected drive is used for
recordings.
Target IP address:
Enter the IP address of the required iSCSI server here.
Target node:
Enter the number of the iSCSI server target node.
Target LUN:
Enter the LUN of the required drive.
Target password:
If the drive is password protected, enter the password.
Note
You may not enter a new password. This is only possible by configuring
the iSCSI storage device.
