l Put the paper tray firmly back in the machine. m Lift the scanner cover (1) to release the lock. Gently push the scanner cover support down (2) and close the scanner cover (3) using both hands. 1 3 2 n While holding the paper tray in place, pull out the paper support until it locks in the open position, and then unfold the paper support flap. Make sure you pull out the paper support until it locks into place. IMPORTANT DO NOT use the paper support flap when printing on Legal size paper. o Re-connect the power cord. NOTE If there is a repeat paper jam, a small piece of paper may be stuck in the machine. (See Additional paper jam clear operations on page 48.) CAUTION
Be careful not to pinch your fingers when
you close the scanner cover.
