A Shooting with the LCD Monitor Enabling Live View Shooting Set [A: Live View shoot.] to [Enable]. Battery Life with Live View Shooting [Approx. number of shots] Temperature Shooting Conditions No Flash 50% Flash Use At 23°C / 73°F 200 180 At 0°C / 32°F 170 150 The figures above are based on a fully-charged Battery Pack LP-E8 and CIPA (Camera & Imaging Products Association) testing standards. With a fully-charged Battery Pack LP-E8, continuous Live View shooting is possible as for approx. 1 hr. 30 min. at 23°C / 73°F. In the and shooting modes, the picture area will be smaller than with other shooting modes. During Live View shooting, do not point the lens toward the sun. The sun's heat can damage the camera's internal components. Cautions for using Live View shooting are on pages 165-166. When flash is used, there will be two shutter sounds, but only one shot will be taken. Also, the time it takes to take the picture after you press the shutter button completely will be slightly longer than with viewfinder shooting. If the camera is not operated for a prolonged period, the power will turn off automatically as set with [52: Auto power off] (p.201). If [52: Auto power off] is set to [Disable], Live View shooting will end automatically after approx. 30 min. (camera power remains on). With the stereo AV cable AVC-DC400ST (sold separately) or HDMI cable HTC-100 (sold separately), you can display the Live View image on a TV (p.258, 261). 145
