Troubleshooting Changing between recording (Ü), record standby (Ñ) and playback (Ð) takes longer than usual. - When the recording media contains a large number of clips, some operations may take longer than usual. Save your clips (A 113) and initialize the recording media (A 33). Alternatively, replace the recording media. The camcorder cannot record to the recording media properly. - This may occur as recordings are made and deleted over time. Save your clips (A 113) and initialize the recording media (A 33). After using the camcorder for a long time, it becomes hot. - The camcorder may become hot after using it continuously for long periods of time; this is not a malfunction. If the camcorder becomes unusually hot or it becomes hot after using it only for a short while, it may indicate a problem with the camcorder. Consult a Canon Service Center. 141 Playback Deleting clips takes longer than usual. - When the recording media contains a large number of clips, some operations may take longer than usual. Save your clips (A 113) and initialize the recording media (A 33). Cannot delete clips/photos. - The LOCK switch on the SD card is set to prevent accidental erasure. Change the position of the LOCK switch. - Photos that were protected using other devices cannot be deleted with the camcorder. Cannot mark individual clips/photos in the index screen with a checkmark ! - You cannot select more than 100 clips/photos individually. Select the [All Clips] or [All Photos] option instead of [Select]. Indicators and Onscreen Displays appears in red on the screen. - Battery pack is exhausted. Replace or charge the battery pack. appears on the screen. - The camcorder cannot communicate with the battery pack attached so the remaining battery time cannot be displayed. The tally lamp does not illuminate. - Set [System Setup] > [2] (in and modes) or [1] (in and modes) > [Tally Lamp] to [On]. The tally lamp flashes quickly (4 flashes per second). - The battery pack is exhausted. Replace or charge the battery pack. - There is not enough available space on the recording media. Delete some recordings (A 108) to free some space or replace the recording media. or 8 appears in red on the screen. - There is not enough available space on the recording media. Remove it and then reinsert it. If the display does not change back to normal, save your clips (A 113). - The folder and file numbers for clips and photos have reached their maximum value. After saving your recordings (A 113, 116), set [Recording Setup] > [3] (in mode), [2] (in mode) or [1] (in and modes) > [File Numbering] to [Reset]. Then, initialize the recording media (A 33) or delete all the recordings (A 108). Even after stopping recording, the ACCESS indicator flashes in red. - The clip is being recorded.
