Low Cut Filter (External Microphone) When you are recording using a microphone connected to the MIC terminal, you can activate the low cut filter to reduce the sound of blowing wind, a car's engine and similar ambient sounds. 1 Make sure the input of the MIC terminal is set to [ß Microphone] (A 83). 2 Press the MENU button. 3 Open the [MIC Low Cut] submenu. [¡ Audio Setup] > [2] > [MIC Low Cut] 4 Select the desired option and then touch [X]. Switching the Input You can select the input signal used by the MIC terminal depending on whether you are using an external microphone or an external audio source, such as an audio player. 1 Press the MENU button. 2 Open the [MIC Terminal Input] submenu. [¡ Audio Setup] > [2] > [MIC Terminal Input] 3 Touch [Þ External Audio] or [ß Microphone] and then touch [X]. Audio Limiter The audio limiter will limit the amplitude of audio signals to prevent audio distortions when sudden, loud sounds are picked up by the camcorder. Start the procedure from step 1 for the built-in microphone and step 2 for an external audio source. 1 Make sure ' [Audio Scene] is set to [„ Custom Setting] (A 78). 2 Make sure [Mic Level] is set to [ ] (A 79). 3 Press the MENU button. 4 Open the [Audio Limiter] submenu. [¡ Audio Setup] > [2] > [Audio Limiter] 5 Touch [i On] and then touch [X].
