Using the CD-ROM Drive Inserting a Compact Disc into the CD-ROM Drive 1. Turn on the computer. 2. Press the eject button on the bezel of the CD-ROM drive to release the CD loading tray. 3. Slowly pull out the CD loading tray until it is fully extended. 4. Remove the CD from its protective case and place it in the CD loading tray, label side up. Handle the CD by the edges, not by the flat surfaces. 5. Push lightly on the bezel of the CD loading tray to close it. The light on the CD-ROM drive turns on while the CD is checked and the table of contents is being read. The light turns off when the CD-ROM drive is ready to receive commands. Inserting a Compact Disc into the CD-ROM Drive
1. Turn on the computer.
2. Press the eject button on the bezel of the CD-ROM drive to
release the CD loading tray.
3. Slowly pull out the CD loading tray until it is fully extended.
4. Remove the CD from its protective case and place it in the CD
loading tray, label side up. Handle the CD by the edges, not by
the flat surfaces.

The light on the CD-ROM drive turns on while the CD is checked
