SNMP This section is only useful if you have SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) software on your PC. If you have SNMP software, you can use a standard MIB II file with the Multi-WAN VPN Link Balancer. Figure 9-3: SNMP Settings - SNMP System Information Community Trap Targets • Contact Person - The name of the person responsible for this device. • Device name - The name of this device. • Physical Location - The location of the device. • Community Name - This is a password or key used between this device and the management station. The administrator/manager must use the same name when monitoring the device. • Access Control - Access privileges which allow the management station to manage this device. This value may be: Read/Write, Read Only or No Access. Enter the IP addresses of any targets (PCs running SNMP software) to which you want traps to be sent. All traps are level 1. Page 75
