Mode Indicator Lights In addition to the character, number and control keys, every keyboard has three lights that indicate the typing mode. These lights and their functions are explained as follows: Figure 4-4: Indicator Lights Caps Lock When this light is on, characters are in uppercase mode. Num Lock When this light is off, the cursor-control function of the numeric keypad is disabled and the numeric mode is activated. Caps Lock
When this light is on, characters are in uppercase mode.
Num Lock
When this light is off, the cursor-control function of the numeric keypad
is disabled and the numeric mode is activated.
Scroll Lock
When this light is on, text can be scrolled without moving the cursor.
